Himalayan crystal salt is rock salt mined from deposits deep in Pakistan’s Punjab province.
This rock salt was part of the primordial sea, before formation of the Himalaya’s and estimated to be more than 250 million years old.

Himalayan salt therefore is the purest form of salt available, natural, free from additives and does not require to be refined.
It is best known for its characteristic natural red or pink coloured crystals.
